April 2014 Move Closer to the Edge

April 2014 Move Closer to the Edge

Five designs to help you get there

Edge of the Month

HEY YOU BUSY LITTLE BUTTERFLIES!!!
Take a good look at this month’s offerings…..  I think they’re terrific and it seems others are agreeing.  It’s the first time I’ve done a total collection with necklaces, long and short, matching bracelets and earrings.  No two are alike, but utilize the same materials.
Pic#1 is an orangey red coral, accented with black and white spotted African bone, finished with black leather.  The clasp is pewter so you don’t have to worry about tarnish.  The bracelets are orange, black, silver and gold-tone leather with pewter beads.  They look stunning with black , white, beige, yellow…..perfect for summer or year round.
#2 is my special fav!  It’s very understated with soft greys in German acrylic, classy, rich, grey, fresh water pearls arranged on a silver grey leather circle.  It’s soooooooooooooooooooooooosophisticated!  This one is a year round keeper!

#1 Leather, coral, bone & silver
#2 Leather, suede, acrylic, pearl and silver

A SNEAK PEEK INTO SUMMER

A SNEAK PEEK INTO SUMMER

I’m ready to “Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy  days of summer”, a la Nat King Cole, so my thoughts are turning to linen, white, cream and beige with soft monochromatic beads…white on white, white on cream.  Float that with lovely shades  of leather, one is just gorgeous-- an understated white with a pearlized  gold wash.  I love mixing it with silver,  (both metal and leather),  highlighted with crystal and pearls.  AND I’ve found the perfect coral leather…some would call it orange….but absolutely guaranteed to kick up even the most stubborn and hackneyed of us.
Check out the bracelets…they’re really elegant, well priced and selling quickly!  CHEERS!

SHOPPING for INTERNET SKEPTICS

SHOPPING for INTERNET SKEPTICS
This week I felt like adding a few new selections featuring Lapis Lazuli Blue.  It’s a  really hot color this Spring, and one you might like to seriously consider for an accessory since you’ll be seeing lots of it in the stores.  #940 has an ancient Greek or Eqyptian feeling with a complimentary gold.  I’d like to think Cleopatra might have worn it.  #2130 is a more updated version pairing lapis with turquoise, fluoride, kicking it up a notch with lemon quartz and a lovely designed-just-for-me vermeil bead.
PC2168 features colors which are normally not associated with Spring, but I personally love to wear shades of taupe with white or cream in the summer.  This necklace is one of my all time favorites..Botswanian agate (the color mix is stunning)enhanced with designer sterling silver bead and toggle clasp..  It’s a bit more expensive, but well worth it.
HAPPY SHOPPING!

SHOPPING for ON-LINE SCEPTICS

Since most of us are either enjoying "now" from the present generation or trying to hitch ourselves tastefully to the edge of its tail, I've decided it's time to open my wares to the limitless possibilities of on-line shopping.  I do this with "big time" resistance, acknowledging my severely retarded technical skills will most certainly require the help of my do-worker, Liz, who is truly a technical wiz!  Let us know how you like this and check for new items weekly.

March Edge of the Month

I’m pondering a return to Spring, focusing more on light and bright colors…hot pink, flaming orange and Cyd Charisse effortlessly floating in her special shade of chartreuse, (I’m dating myself again).

Of course you want black and white with a nod to the native and animal print!
You already know how I love edgier looks, so here’s a fun concept with clear poly-vinyl and silver coating.  Though very subtle, you can be pretty sure to be noticed.
I’ve added a few more bracelets to the collection…the silver pieces from last month are really a hot item!  The new color is a lovely goldish white which works exquisitely with the silver; designed to mix and match with the clear poly and cream colored bone as well.  Have fun!

Edge of the Month

My inner muse is still pulling me towards modernism and its plethora of funky and fun materials. I'm still loving the feel of rubber - it's lightness and versatility. But I'm a bit of a shy violet when it comes to adding color, preferring to hide beneath the shelter of understatement with grey, silver and black.

First, I convinced myself it was pretty safe to add soft eggplant which I loved especially for Spring. From there it was only a short hop to coral. ... then wild orange!!!

Will I have the courage to wear it?

What is it saying about me?

Does it make me a no taste, trashy trollop?

Or is it telling the world I am at last a mature woman choosing what feels right for me regardless...

I prefer the latter. Let me know what you think.

Check out the leather bracelets...They're really quite handsome and chic and reasonably priced too!
